What are cookies?

At Nature Horizons, we use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like pixels and tags) to ensure our website performs efficiently, to understand how you interact with our content, and to deliver personalized travel inspiration relevant to your interests.
How we use cookies
We use a modern stack of technologies to enhance your experience. These are categorized as follows:
1. Essential & Functional Cookies
These are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility (e.g., remembering your booking inquiry progress or language preference).
2. Third-Party Embedded Content
Some pages include content served by other companies. When that content loads, those companies may set their own cookies, which we do not control. Apart from Turnstile, none of it loads until you allow embedded content in the cookie banner:
- YouTube for the videos embedded across our journey and destination pages.
- Google Maps for the location map on our contact page.
- Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that our enquiry forms are being submitted by a person and not an automated script.
3. Analytics & Advertising
We do not run advertising, remarketing or profiling technology of any kind. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not use advertising pixels, and we do not share your browsing behaviour with advertising networks.
For audience measurement we use Google Analytics 4, and only where you have accepted the Analytics category in our cookie banner. If you decline it, or have not answered yet, the Analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Withdrawing your consent stops any further collection immediately; cookies already stored by Google (_ga and _ga_*) stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them from your browser settings.
Email & Newsletter Tracking
Our emails may contain a small transparent image file or code (known as a web beacon or pixel) to determine whether you have opened an email or clicked on a link. We use this information to calculate open rates and click-through rates, helping us improve our communications and ensure we are sending you relevant travel inspiration.
Managing your preferences
The first time you visit, a banner asks you to choose. Nothing optional loads until you answer, and you can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like — it is as easy to say no later as it was to say yes.
